Our Customer Service Department is integrated into our general Order Fulfillment Group which includes our Purchasing, Credit Management, Order Entry and Sales Development & Administration Departments. Customer Service representatives are trained in all areas of order fulfillment to achieve the most effective and efficient level of customer satisfaction. Customer Service also interacts with our Sales Engineers, Field Service Engineers and Applications Engineers to provide a variety of solutions for our customers’ manufacturing and process automation needs in a variety of regional industries.
Allied provides manufacturing automation solutions to industry in the areas of PLCs, PCs, HMIs, motion control, robotics (Mitsubishi); Vision, RFID, bar code, sensors, safety light curtains & scanners (SICK); industrial networking; pneumatics, and electromechanical slides (Festo). We provide quality products, engineering assistance, and product integration solutions.
Allied Automation, Inc. utilizes Profit 21 / Epicor Distribution ERP Software to integrate internal and external management of information across our entire organization along with a CRM system.

Job Description
As a member of our team, you’ll support existing customers and aggressively drive new efforts in Central & Southern Ohio.
- Develop and support sales strategies and objectives to expand market share in region
- Monitor progress toward goals making necessary adjustments to reach objectives
- Initiate and develop contact with key and target customers to establish strong relationships
- Develop knowledge in the primary product areas, including Robotics, PLC, HMI, Servos/Motion Control, Safety Devices, Sensors and Networking.
- Consult on applications with customers in the primary product areas
- Consistently use PC based software to document sales opportunities, and to coordinate required sales activities between other regions, and management
- Travel is required; mainly Central / Southern Ohio – occasional domestic travel may be required for training
- Perform other essential duties as assigned
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
- Must possess a minimum of an Associates degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Technical Field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Must have industrial sales experience
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls, as well as the machine applications encountered in Ohio area.
- An awareness of the Industrial Automation Market – including experience with End User specifications
- Ability to develop a customer base and generate sales to accommodate goals
- Strong negotiating, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of conducting technical and sales presentations to key clients
- Necessary time management skills to handle a consistently high level of sales activity – including a full schedule of outside sales calls coupled with numerous follow up requirements
