Grippers by ZAYTRAN have a history of being tough and demonstrating precision. The use of tough, corrosion resistant materials enables operation in harsh environments, such as grinding, machining, welding, and food processing. The patented double helix synchronization design provides precision to ±0.025 mm (±0.0010″) over the life of the gripper.
Patented Synchronous Technology
The force and synchronizing double helix are independent systems. The double helix works only to center the part to ±0.025 mm (±0.0010″). All of the gripping force is provided by two pistons that are driven pneumatically. The independence of the force and synchronization systems provides precision over the life of the parallel gripper, and also allow for long strokes.

Zaytran Automotive Locating PIN Cylinders
The Zaytran LSA Approach
First developed in 1996 a ceramic bearing paired with an iron nitrited hardened shaft to provide minimal deflection. For anti-rotation, splines are used for long stroke LSAs while nitrited slides are used for short stroke.

Rigid, Non-R0tating
Less than 0.0050″ (0.127mm) of deflection will be seen at the pin including the offset. Performance in the field has been confirmed since 1996 and backed by brutal 3,000,000 cycle tests of each model.
No Maintenance
All LSA models are lubricated for life. In addition, the weld immune iron nitride shaft treatment combined with the ultimate rod scraper assures operation in the toughest automotive environments.
